INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL OGsys PATCH

** You must have administrator rights to install the patch **

The patch should be installed on the server instead of a workstation unless the UNC path to the OGsql/OGwin Program folder on the server is known. This patch will update every workstation at once.

1. Make sure all users are logged off of OGsql/OGwin and out of any OGsql generated Excel reports, if applicable.

2. Log onto the OGsys Website http://www.ogsys.com/products/downloads.

3. Click on the current version of OGsql/OGwin that is installed locally.

4. Enter your E-mail address and click Submit.

5. The File Download – Security Warning will display. The file may be saved (click Save) to a local directory for installation later or run immediately (click Run).

6. When the patch is run, a Security Warning message may appear, click Run to continue.

7. The Setup Wizard window will display the version of the OGsql/OGwin product that will be installed. Click Next to continue if this is the correct version.

8. Enter the path to the OGsql/OGwin folder on the server using either the local path if installing on the server or the full UNC path if installing from a workstation.

Local Server Path – click Browse and navigate to the OGsql/OGwin folder on the server. Click OK.

Note: The Program folder will be added to the path automatically by the installer.

UNC Path –To obtain the UNC path to the OGsql/OGwin Program folder on the server, right-click on the OGsql/OGwin desktop shortcut and select Properties. The path will be displayed the ‘Start in‘ field. Copy this path into the Destination Location field.

9. Once the path to the OGsql\Program or OGwin\Program folder has been selected, click Next.

10. Click Install to install the patch updates.

11. Click Finish to complete the installation.

12. Users can now log into OGsql/OGwin  and work as normal.

13. After logging into the system, go to Help – About OGsql/OGwin. Make sure the Last Modified or SP date is the same as the Patch Date.
