OGSQL and OGWIN Windows 7 Compatibility
March 24, 2010OGSYS is committed to supporting the latest versions of the Windows operating system for use with our products. We recognize the upgrade gap created by the poor reception of Windows Vista and are seeing rapid adoption of Windows 7. Simply put: Yes, Windows 7 is supported right now by OGSYS products. The statements below detail our comprehensive support of the Windows 7 line with OGSQL and OGWin.
OGSQL is fully compatible with all versions of Windows (Windows 2000 and later). Compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of said operating systems.
NOTE: OGSYS products only support business/professional editions of the Windows operating system; home editions are not supported by OGSYS.
Running OGSQL on a 64-bit edition of Windows will require:
The 32-bit version of the VC++ Runtime (vcredist_x86.exe)
The 64-bit version of the SQL Native Client 9.0 (sqlncli_x64.msi)
These prerequisites are freely available from Microsoft or OGSYS.
OGWin is Fully compatible will all versions of Windows (Windows 2000 and later). Compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of said operating systems.

Pervasive statement: OGWin will require a version of the Pervasive Database Engine, aka Btrieve,
commensurate with the highest version of Windows that will be accessing the OGWin product. See
Pervasive’s website (http://www.pervasive.com) for details regarding compatibility of its products
with various versions and editions of Windows. In a nutshell, v10 is required for versions of
Windows that are greater than Windows XP/Windows Server 2003. If you are uncomfortable with
upgrading to the latest version, please consider upgrading to the OGSQL product instead.
